How to use this tutorial

This advice relates to the following pages.

Click on links in the lefthand frame to move to subsequent pages;

hot tip: the image files are really large and may take some time to load, depending on your equipment and general bandwidth out there;
move the mouse pointer over words in the images of the charters;
as you do so, a transcription of the words and basic information about those words will appear in a client window; if a runtime error message appears,do not debug -- click NO

in many cases, the message in the client window will advise you to click for further information, so click the mouse on the word in the image;

hot tip: only click on a word in the image if the text in the status bar invites you to do so: 'click for info.' -- otherwise you run the risk of a not found error message and the image of the charter reloading which can be annoying;

this action will link you to another file with more information about that word -- its declension or conjugation, for example;
this form of image is called an imagemap.
